And more tatting along with a little crochet

Here is the beginning of the next round. Adding some maroon color to it. This is round 4. What do you think?
Here is some really adorable panda coasters I made for the grand daughters. The youngest has seen them already, but the oldest hasn't yet. And I am happy to report the youngest was just full of OOOOOOOOOOOOs. And Hugs! :)

I like the contrast between the maroon an white. The panda coasters are adorable! I'm sure my granddaughters and grandson would love to have some for their cups!

I've never liked the color maroon myself, but beyond that, using a contrasting color to set the motif off is a good idea. If you use a lighter color for the outside, it will bring the inner motif "up" and if you use a darker color, it will set the inner motif more "down". So if you're putting several together, that might be something to keep in mind for the overall effect.

Those coasters are adorable and what a great way to encourage kids to set their glasses down in a particular spot instead of just willy-nilly anywhere!

Thank you Ladies :) Yep Maddie really LOVED the pandas. Her older sister hasn't seen them yet. LOL It was so cute watching Maddie set her bottle in the middle of that coaster. Course the bears had to have hugs too!

On the doily, I'm still adding rounds to it yet, so keep watching!!! This is a fun doily. I wasn't sure about making one, but I am enjoying it.

Thanks again Ladies for popping by and commenting.

Thanks for promoting my give-away Connie. I love meeting new bloggers and can see why you would enjoy this book. The colours from natural plat dyes are very subtle and could create some interesting tatting.
I'm so glad there are still crafters who are continuing to tatt. Your work is very pretty and I particularly like the rose brooch.
Warmest Hugs,
