latest bear

Well I thought it about time I posted up this little bear I made a while back for my wonderful neighbor. The yarn is alpaca from her own alpacas she owned at the time. Then she spun the yarn herself. So much fun working with it. Was a real test, as usually I am allergic to wool,,,but alpaca of course is different. :) I think he turned out really adorable,,especially AFTER I knitted up his little winter scarf :)

Whatcha think? Isn't he just adorable :)

Hello Bear Lovers and Friends

I decided to start me a bear blog as I am finding it so much fun creating these lovable creatures. Of course don't be surprised to find other friends along with bears. Maybe even a doll or two. One just never knows what I'll be making next. But this also separates my fiber arts from the Bears n such.

I do hope you stop by and visit occasionally. I don't know how active I'll be,,,but I will share my buddies as I make them.

Thanks!

RR Connie

More Bears!

Just finished making these bruins :) The blue one is for a dear friend
who no longer has her mother. The yarn is a wool yarn that had belonged
to her mom.

The other two are just some different yarns that was given to me. The
blue bear is about 3 inches tall, where the little one is about 2 inches tall.

I really tried to get them to get off my work table and go outside. But they
just didn't like the idea of sitting around out in the rain and cold. Who could
blame them LOL!

The pattern for these cuties
can be found online. Just google:

OH NO!!! L@@K!!! OUT!!! :)

WoW I can't believe how long it has been since I posted last! Things around here have been keeping me pretty busy, especially with some new projects. Here are some samples (some of you seen on facebook already)

Here is my first felt bear with movable arms, legs and a head! She was given to the oldest grand daughter for her 4th birthday. She named her Sarah!

And here is my second bear, showing she loves playing out on the wood pile! She was out playing with the second grand daughter, which just happened to be her 2nd birthday! Boy did they have fun!

Then comes along Red! Now this one is pretty hard to keep up with!!!
First I just had to show off my new birth certificate! I am going to be adopted by another young lady. I can't tell you her name, Wouldn't want to give away the surprise, just in case she is online :)

Then after a morning breakfast and doing up dishes,,,

I went to visit the Grandma's horse! He is so much fun to watch and feed!

Well I am all ready to go to my new home now! What??? What did you say?

Oh, I have a guest coming first, I better get ready!

How do you like my new look? That bell hanging from the chain, just wasn't working! I do like my new bow tie, how about you?

Hi there! Here is my new friend, Goldie! As everyone knows, we bears LOVE to exercise!!! Nothing more fun than exercising with a friend! :)

Now for some tea. Goldie is an expert at making delicious tea!

Ahhh Goldie had to leave to his new home! He is going to be living with a really nice couple of ladies who have a REALLY HUGE white doggie, and a couple of smaller ones! That is going to be so much fun, hiding in there fur coats he he he ! See you later!

An now time to settle down and read my new book about bear adventures!

Well it is time for me to go now. I really had fun sharing about my adventures with you! Bye Bye!!! Take Care And Blessings!

Boy did I tell you Red was hard to keep up with!!! LOL!

I have also been learning a little needle felting! I am really enjoying that! Here is a sample I have started. Not only is this my first needle felting, but I'm not even using a pattern. LOL I think she almost looks more like an 'ewok' from Star Wars.

All the felt bears are just right under 3 inches tall. This needle felted bear so far stands 3 inches tall without legs. I should have made the legs and attached them first to the body. The darker wool is really SOFT alpaca,,, and I am finding the hairs are longer and a little harder to felt in. But I am still having a real BLAST making this little one!

Sorry for such a long post. I do hope enjoyed the adventures with Red as much I did chasing after him all over the place. Good thing he is going to a young active pre-teen :)

Blessings to all until next time :)

WoW I Have Been Invaded LOL!

WoW can you believe it,,,I'm posting two days in a row! Watch the weather LOL! Might have to duck for cover!!!

On another note,,,Here are some nylon scrubbies I also made while sitting in bed with my cough and sore throat. At least when it comes to crocheting there isn't a whole of movements happening. My body just wasn't liking it too kindly even when I would just turn my head. :(

I decided to try a little mix in colors, for some variation instead of the same ole solid colors. Whatcha all think? Be HONEST now with me!!!!
Anyway,,,then after my first two little bears left for their new homes,,,it got a little lonely around here,,,and Peaches, our little dog,,,,just thought it wasn't right them bears leaving and all,,,soooo I made 3 new little ones. These are a little smaller due to using a smaller hook and yarn. Not sure what kind of yarn I think Pinky could be a chenille type yarn, not really sure. Then Silver,,,his thread is a really fine 'fuzzy' thread of some sort as well. Therefore making him come in about half an inch shorter than his two mates. His two mates are just under 2 1/2 inches tall, while he is just under 2 inches tall. Pastelarella,,,,now she is make from baby yarn with the white sparkly like strand that runs through it. As you can see these little ones were really full of mischief climbing around my citrus tree in the house!

Then they had to follow me outside, and found this flower patch to play and hide in!
Then after all the romping through the yard and teasing poor Peaches,,,the settled down to rest on the large flat stone in the yard, where I was able to easily snatch them up and bring them back indoors, where they were put down for naps LOL:)

Hugs N Blessings All!

Tatted Doily Updates and Fuzzy Critters!!!

Here are a couple of up dates on my tatted doilies. Both have new rounds added to each of them. The first being the size 30 thread, and the second being the size 10 thread. They are still growing, slowly but steadily!

Then here is a size comparison pic of the two. The red one has another round added to it as you can see. I have been little under the weather lately, so the next round for the blue one hasn't been caught up yet.

Then as I went to take a little stroll around the yard to see what was growing in the jungle of grass, flowers and weeds from all the rain we have been getting, Imagine my surprise to find these little crochet bears playing hide and seek!!! First I found them in the strawberry patch. But alas, no strawberries for them! Or me either :(
Then I found them hiding in grass, I know they were just waiting patiently for me to come along so they trip our little dog LOL!

Both of these cuties now have a new home. Both of the grand daughters just fell in love with them, picking out which they liked best (no fights either!!!) And they wasted no time gathering them up to take them to their home either :)

Blessings to all, please take care and stay healthy!!!

Here is the beginning of the next round. Adding some maroon color to it. This is round 4. What do you think?
Here is some really adorable panda coasters I made for the grand daughters. The youngest has seen them already, but the oldest hasn't yet. And I am happy to report the youngest was just full of OOOOOOOOOOOOs. And Hugs! :)
You can find the pattern Here
